HAM CLASS INFO:

Sun spots are beginning to cook up on the surface of SOL again. It seems like the 11 year cycle has taken its sweet time to come around again. For the past few years HF communications has been dead as a door nail. The manufacturers have reported that HF equipment sales follow the sun spot cycle and are looking forward to the promise of new life.

Remember to take a few minutes to check your ground wires and antenna coax. Look for failing solder joints and general rust on all outside connections. You may want to check the SWR on your antennas to make sure no water has leaked into the coils or connectors.

I have found that keeping a small list of frequencies for my license class next to my radio helps me to quickly search the bands while remaining legal. I hope the attached lists will help you make the most of the sun spots while communicating with the world.

I'm anxious to start having fun with HF again. Maybe I'll try for that 80 meter WAS this time...
